Yards that stay sharp all season

01Overview

What you can expect.

A good yard shouldn't be a second job. We handle mowing, edging, trimming, seasonal cleanups, and bed maintenance on a schedule that fits your property. Show up once or every week — we keep the edges crisp and the beds clean so your home looks maintained, not overgrown.

  • Weekly and bi-weekly mowing
  • Edging and string trimming
  • Hedge and shrub trimming
  • Seasonal flower bed cleanup
  • Leaf and debris removal
  • Mulch and pine straw installation

02Materials & options

Materials and schedules for a healthy lawn

The right cut height, mulch depth, and cleanup frequency depend on your grass type, sun exposure, and how much foot traffic the yard gets.

  • 01
    Bermuda Grass

The DFW standard — loves heat and sun, hates shade. We cut it lower and more often in peak season to keep it thick.

    Best for
    Full-sun lawns in North Texas
    Lifespan / range
    Mar–Nov weekly
  • 02
    St. Augustine

Thick, shade-tolerant, and soft underfoot. Needs a higher cut and careful edging to avoid thinning.

    Best for
    Shady or mixed-sun yards
    Lifespan / range
    Mar–Nov weekly/bi-weekly
  • 03
    Zoysia

Dense, drought-tolerant, and slow-growing. Looks premium but needs sharp blades and less frequent mowing.

    Best for
    High-end lawns and low-traffic areas
    Lifespan / range
    Bi-weekly in season
  • 04
    Hardwood Mulch

Natural color that breaks down and feeds the soil. We refresh beds once or twice a year.

    Best for
    Flower beds and tree rings
    Lifespan / range
    Refreshed 1–2x/year
  • 05
    Pine Straw / Rubber Mulch

Long-lasting options for slopes and low-maintenance beds. Pine straw acidifies soil slightly over time.

    Best for
    Slopes, acidic-loving plants
    Lifespan / range
    Refreshed as needed

Weekly Mowing PlanYou want a consistently manicured lawnBest for Bermuda and fast-growing yards — never lets the grass get ahead of the cut.
Bi-Weekly Mowing PlanYour lawn grows slowly or you want to saveWorks for Zoysia, dormant-season cuts, and low-traffic properties.
Seasonal Cleanup OnlyYou mow yourself but need help with big jobsSpring and fall cleanups handle mulch, leaves, pruning, and bed edges in one visit.
Full Maintenance PackageYou want the yard completely hands-offMowing, edging, beds, trimming, and seasonal mulch — scheduled and managed for you.

Pro tip

Never remove more than one-third of the blade at once

Cutting too short at once shocks the grass, weakens the roots, and invites weeds. We adjust cut height by season and grass type, and we sharpen blades weekly so the cut is clean — not torn. Torn grass tips turn brown and let disease in.

04Products we use

Brands we trust on the job

We use commercial-grade tools and proven lawn products that survive Texas heat.

  • Exmark / Toro
    Commercial Zero-Turn Mowers

Clean cuts at consistent height, even on larger DFW lots.

  • Stihl / Echo
    String Trimmers & Edgers

Sharp edges and crisp lines without scalping the turf.

  • Scotts
    Turf Builder & Weed Control

Seasonal fertilizers and pre-emergents tailored to Bermuda and St. Augustine.

  • Milorganite
    Organic Nitrogen Fertilizer

Slow-release feeding that won't burn grass — great for steady green growth.

  • Local Nurseries
    Native & Adapted Plants

We source plants proven for North Texas heat and drought once established.

06Ask a pro

Real answers from our crew.

Landscaping questions we hear most often — answered straight.

QHow often should my lawn be mowed?
In peak growing season, Bermuda and St. Augustine usually need weekly mowing. Zoysia and shaded lawns can often go bi-weekly. We adjust as the season slows.
QWhy are there brown spots in my yard?
Could be uneven watering, pet damage, fungus, or dull mower blades. We inspect the pattern and tell you whether it's a mowing, irrigation, or treatment issue.
QWhen should I mulch my beds?
Spring is ideal for a fresh layer before weeds germinate. Fall touch-ups help protect roots through winter and keep beds neat through the holidays.
QDo you pull weeds or just spray?
We do both, depending on the bed and your preference. Hand-pulling is slower but protects nearby plants. Targeted sprays work for large areas and stubborn weeds.
QCan you trim my trees too?
Light pruning and shaping of small ornamentals is part of our maintenance service. Larger tree work is handled by our dedicated tree-care crew with the right equipment.
QDo I need to sign a contract?
No. We offer recurring service agreements, but you can pause or cancel with notice. Seasonal cleanups are one-off by nature.
