Trees trimmed, removed, and hauled away

01Overview

What you can expect.

Overgrown, damaged, or dead trees are a risk to your home and family. We trim for health and clearance, remove hazardous trees, grind stumps, and haul off every branch. Our crew works safely, protects your lawn, and leaves the property cleaner than we found it.

02Materials & options

Tree work methods and when to use them

Tree work ranges from light pruning to full removals. Here's how we match the method to the tree and the risk.

  • 01
    Canopy Thinning & Shaping

Remove crossing, dead, or weak branches to improve airflow, light, and structure. Done with clean cuts that heal fast.

    Best for
    Healthy trees that need structure
    Lifespan / range
    Seasonal pruning
  • 02
    Crown Raising

Remove lower branches for clearance over roofs, driveways, and walkways. Improves sight lines and reduces roof debris.

    Best for
    Trees too close to structures
    Lifespan / range
    As needed
  • 03
    Deadwooding

Targeted removal of dead, diseased, or broken branches before they fall. Reduces hazard without over-pruning.

    Best for
Mature trees after storms or drought
    Lifespan / range
    Annual inspection
  • 04
    Tree Removal

Full takedown when a tree is dead, diseased, hazardous, or in the wrong place. Includes trunk, limbs, and haul-off.

    Best for
    Dead, leaning, or root-damaged trees
    Lifespan / range
    Per tree
  • 05
    Stump Grinding

Grind the stump 4–6 inches below grade so you can replant, sod, or mulch over it. Haul away chips unless you want them.

    Best for
    After removals or old stumps
    Lifespan / range
    Per stump

03Choosing between options

Choosing between tree care options

Not every tree needs to come down. Here's how to decide what's right.

OptionPick if…Why
Trimming & PruningThe tree is healthy but overgrown or lowMaintains the tree, improves clearance, and reduces future storm damage.
DeadwoodingYou see dead branches or recent breakageRemoves hazards without changing the tree's overall shape.
Tree RemovalThe tree is dead, diseased, leaning, or too closeEliminates the risk before it falls on a structure, fence, or power line.
Removal + Stump GrindYou want the tree gone and the yard usableFull service — no stump left behind, no chips scattered unless you want them.

Pro tip

Never top a tree — thin it instead

Topping (cutting the main trunk flat) creates weak, fast-growing shoots that break easily and invite rot. Proper thinning removes weight while keeping the tree's natural structure. It costs more upfront than a bad hack job, but it saves the tree and prevents the emergency removal that topping usually causes.

Real answers from our crew.

Tree care questions from homeowners — answered with safety first.

QDo I need a permit to remove a tree?
Some DFW cities require permits for tree removal, especially for heritage or large trees. We check local requirements and help with paperwork when needed.
QHow do I know if a tree is dangerous?
Look for leaning, dead branches, cracks in the trunk, exposed roots, or fungus at the base. If you're unsure, we do a free hazard assessment.
QWill you protect my lawn during removal?
Yes. We use plywood mats for equipment, lower branches with rigging, and clean up thoroughly. We treat your yard like our own.
QHow deep do you grind stumps?
Typically 4–6 inches below grade, which is deep enough for sod, mulch, or replanting. Deeper grinding is available on request.
QCan you trim trees near power lines?
We maintain safe clearance from utility lines. Work near high-voltage lines may require coordination with the utility company.
QWhat happens to the wood and branches?
We haul everything away as part of the quote. If you want firewood rounds or mulch chips left behind, just let us know.
